He was also chief of the confederation of clans that was known as the Clan Chattan.
Duncan Thomas Mackintosh, 11th of Mackintosh was the eldest son of Malcolm Beg MacKintosh, 10th. of MacKintosh and his wife, Mora, daughter of MacDonald, 1st. of Moydart.

During his father’s chiefship, Duncan led an expedition against their rivals the Clan Cameron which had resulted in the Battle of Craig Cailloch in 1441. Also before he became chief, he had fought a successful battle at Culloden against Gillespie MacDonald, brother of John of Islay, Earl of Ross who had stolen cattle from the Mackintosh lands of Petty. source: Wikipedia

Born: 1445 in Inverness-shire, Scotland

Never married to Hector Odhar MacLean, 9th. Chief of Clan MacLean

Children: (1) Lachlan MacLean, 10th. Chief of Clan MacLean, born out of wedlock (in October 1496 his father legitimized him) Lachlan’s mother is reported to be ‘a daughter of the chief of the Mackintoshes

Died: about 1475 in Inverness-shire, Scotland

Buried: about 1475 in Inverness-shire, Scotland

The Life Summary of Marjorie
When Marjorie Mackintosh of Chattan was born in 1445, in Scotland, her father, Duncan Thomas Mackintosh, 11th. of Mackintosh, 12th. of Chattan, was 33 and her mother, Florence MacDonald, was 20.

She had 1 son with Hector Odhar MacLean, 9th. Chief of Clan MacLean
Hector Odhar, MacLean, had an illegitimate son, Lachlan Cattanach MacLean.
The fact Lachlan was born out of marriage is without question. In October 1496 his father legitimatized him. Lachlan’s mother is reported to be ‘a daughter of the chief of the Mackintoshes’. Lachlan did not grow up with his kinsmen the MacLeans, but was raised in Clan Chattan. It is for this reason that he was known as “Lachlan Cattanach”. If Lachlan’s mother and father eventually married, it is not documented and it was well after his birth.

Clan Chattan (Scottish Gaelic: Na Catanaich or Scottish Gaelic: Clann Chatain) is a unique confederation of Highland clans. The clan is distinctive in highland clan history in that it was acknowledged to be a community or confederation, of twelve separate Scottish clans, who each had their own clan chief recognized under Scottish law, but who were united under and bound to a superior chief of the confederation for mutual solidarity, sustenance and protection in the Middle Ages and early modern period in the Scottish Highlands.
Died: after 1475 in Inverness-shire, Scotland
